Fluorescence Lighting Helps Detect Impurities in Water

Shining a beam of light into potentially contaminated water samples may hold the key to real-time detection of hydrocarbons and pesticides in water. Researchers are testing the use of fluorescence to monitor water quality. The results, they say, show great promise.

Adaptable Lighting Design Revitalizes Iconic Building

Interpres Building Solutions, an engineering firm, chose a building revitalization project for their new office and used Williams lighting solutions to bring the space to life. Williams products complemented the modern architecture with a variety of linear fixtures and square downlights. Color tuning 4DS square downlights were chosen because of their ability to adapt to the environment, branding the building with company colors, important for lighting demonstrations. MX4R recessed continuous with corner feature provided clean, straight lines to enhance architectural detail in the reception area.
