Williams' Lighting Portfolio Brings Modern Luxury to Orlando Marriott Resort and Spa

Project Case Studies | September 27, 2021 | The Lighting Exchange

On this resort project, the lighting designers specified Williams’ adaptable portfolio of luminaires, complimenting the design style to give spa guests a relaxing getaway. This is a destination people go to feel rejuvenated, with luxurious accommodations.

Williams offers a wide breadth of incredibly versatile downlights to create the right atmosphere for many environments. To establish an elegant and inviting ambiance across the entire hotel, warm color temperatures were used in the 2”, 4”, and 6” sizes, which mimic the beauty of the starry sky.

In the ballrooms, 1% dimming achieves a soothing transition from a brightly lit meeting space to a welcoming hall for weddings, celebrations, and other events.

For ease of installation and maintenance across the resort, these downlights are engineered with Williams’ innovative TrimLock reflector retention system which ensures the trim remains flush.

The high ceiling above the staircase leading to the mezzanine needed to be smooth and uninterrupted, but also provide enough light below, so the 4,000 lumen package was used in the 6” aperture. This solved a practical need while maintaining the high-end luxury aesthetic.

The design team made use of the wet location specification to keep performance consistency for applications all around the property including the outdoor pool bar.

Williams’ diverse collection of luminaires are tailored to suit even the most refined hospitality style.
